For the Love of Scrubs! Saffron Walden Appeal for material to sew scrubs
Saffron Walden residents Kelly Compton and Anne Gurney have started a local initiative after identifying a shortage in supply of scrubs to frontline NHS staff and carers during the 2020 COVID-19 Epidemic.
They are asking for donations of any spare large amounts of fabric, pillow cases or large duvet covers. This will help a few local ladies to make scrubs, masks, hats and scrub bags for the NHS, carers and other front-line staff.
There is also the option of donating towards their Crowdfunder.
Some NHS and care staff can have scrubs in any fabric, however the main hospitals have specific colours. If you would like to contribute toward the cost of buying the fabric for the hospitals, please CLICK HERE
