Working off that Easter Chocolate
Well that was a strange Easter for most we must admit, but one thing didn’t change and that was chocolate! One tradition most households have over the Easter break is to eat as much chocolate as possible. But now it’s time to get back on with the diet ready for our summer bodies and the Gym Group are here to help.

You hear it all the time, exercise and diet together is the best way to see results, but there are so many different diets out there, which one is right for you. Instead of listing out all the diets in the world currently, we have put together a list of cookbooks to help you get started. You can buy most of these book from most book stores or supermarkets.
Joe Wicks – Lean in 15
Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, you may have seen his name on our blog before because he’s currently on of the most popular online personal trainer and publisher of health plans including easy recipes that all the family will love. He also supplies a 90-day plan that is made to help you start your health plan journey.
Pinch of Nom
Pinch of Nom is a book that comprises of tried and tested recipes adapted to help everyone lose weight and enjoy their meals, put together by two chefs that have worked within the hospitality industry for over a decade, they came up with the idea over a cup of tea whist at their kitchen table. The book isn’t only full of recipes but full of quotes and testimonials from those who have tried and tested them. They now have 2 books in their collection with more hopefully on the way soon.
Slimming World
Slimming World has been around for some time and the recipes have been a favourite within the dieting world, with over 10 different books to choose from, but let’s be honest there’s probably more out there, with 1000 recipes to choose from. Whether you have a cultured palate of different cuisines or have one favourite that you like to cook then there is a book for you. Some of their seasonal recipes can also be found on their website. Look and see what book suits your taste buds.

In today’s world a lot of people, including celebrities, are changing their diets to vegetarian for many reasons, new trends, in a bid to help the environment, personal health issues (diabetes or intolerance) or simply to become healthier and this has brought about an increase of vegetarian cookbooks. A few other tips to stay healthy in both mind and body while isolated at home are:
- Stay active – Do what works for you!
- Stay hydrated – Sounds obvious but having fluids make a huge difference to your overall wellbeing and immune system.
- Sleep – Try to stick to a good sleep routine, if possible, try to get the recommended 8 hours.
- Eat healthily – With a well-balanced diet providing essential nutrients, as well as the odd treat.
- Check-in – Check-in with the people who mean the most to you regularly. The team have taken part in a number FaceTime and Zoom calls over the past couple of weeks and keeping in touch with their family, friends, and colleagues has been a huge help.

Meet David Edwards, a former European Tour Golfer and now no1 in Golf Entertainment. David creates trick shot shows for all kinds of events, he attends our golf days to entertain our clients with a trick shot routine that ceases to amaze those who watch. He also gets the audience involved with some nail-biting tricks.
