VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB

We are 4 weeks into lockdown and like us, you’re probably running out of things to watch. Here at SR Events we love to pick up a book but love to sit with our families and watch a great film too. So we have compiled a list of films that are related to books. Of course, there are the well-known films based on books, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, The Railway Children and all the marvel films (because comic books count as a book, right?!) There are also the films that you may not realise were based on a book like, Phantom of the Opera, The Green Mile and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We have put together a list of films that we thought you might like to watch or read.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann, who also directed Moulin Rouge, this is a modern-day adaptation of the classic novel and is not one to miss.

The Social Network

Directed by David Fincher and staring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, this film is a roller coaster of emotions. Starting in the dorm rooms of Harvard university you are taken on a journey of ups and downs. This is a unique film that will test your judgment of moral dilemmas.
