Make MOSAIC online with Anne Cardwell….. FREE
About Anne…
l teach mosaic every week and I have been doing so since 2005 (an enforced little break just now, sadly…). As a graphic design graduate working in top London consultancies I had been making decisions about colour and style for years, it was easy to transfer this creativity to mosaic art. Nearly two decades later hundreds of students have passed through my doors and I’ve loved helping them immerse themselves in this wonderful art. I also run residential courses and school groups (see my website). Scroll down for samples of their work and my own portfolio.
When I wrote, ‘Stylish Mosaics‘, I brought my many years of mosaic experience together by producing a book. Now I have done the same with this online course, but this time with lessons supported by video, notes and commentary.
Hi – in these difficult times my course is currently free – please enrol and you can click straight through. If you are NOT on the mailing list already, please sign up on my website homepage for future offers and more tips (there is a pop up or a box in the middle of the page). I promise not to overwhelm you with messages.
Mosaic is so absorbing, being creative can push all your troubles to one side for a time. There is a lot of advice out there on t’internet, but it’s helpful I find, to have it all in one place.
At first just watch, if you would like to have a go, order materials later, there are notes about this within the courses.
- Watch to learn the techniques in easy steps
- Work at your own pace in your own space
- Order materials after you have become engaged with the process
GREAT reasons to take up mosaic art
- It doesn’t need amazing drawing skills or technical brilliance to make something beautiful, original and decorative! Breaking tiles requires nippers and a little dexterity and is easily achievable.
- It doesn’t require expensive equipment.
- It doesn’t take up a lot of space.
- It’s creative, fun, relaxing, rewarding, (just what we need right now).
- It’s also really easy to pick up and set down, just pick up the nippers and complete a bit more, and a bit more… it is so satisfying watching a design grow… piece by piece by piece.
